Piercing Description
The faux rook piercing is placed in the upper inner cartilage, here most ears typically have a divot where faux rooks are generally placed.
This creates a similar visual effect to a rook and can be used either when a traditional rook anatomy is not ideal or if the client simply prefers the look of a faux rook to that of a standard rook piercing. Faux rook piercings are done with a flatback stud meanwhile rook piercings are normally done with curved barbells. Faux rook piercings add depth and look amazing with all types of jewelry; simple, clusters/shapes, dangles, etc.
