Jewelry Repairs & Warranty
Information about manufacturer warranties, warranty eligibility, repair intake, shipping, repair timelines, temporary replacement jewelry, additional charges, replacement requests, and warranty limitations at Tacoma's Best Piercing.
Manufacturer Warranty
All jewelry purchased directly from Tacoma's Best Piercing includes the manufacturer's repair warranty.
Repairs are performed by the original manufacturer, not by Tacoma's Best Piercing.
Because repair policies vary by manufacturer, warranty coverage, repair methods, repair approvals, and replacement decisions are ultimately determined by the manufacturer.
Warranty Eligibility
The manufacturer's repair warranty applies only to jewelry purchased directly from Tacoma's Best Piercing.
Jewelry purchased from another retailer, even if it was manufactured by the same company, is not eligible to be processed through Tacoma's Best Piercing's warranty program.
To help us locate your purchase, please provide any of the following, if available:
- Transaction number
- Invoice number
- Screenshot of your receipt
- Exact purchase date
If you no longer have your purchase information, please provide the approximate purchase date. We will make every reasonable effort to locate your transaction; however, we cannot guarantee that older purchases can always be verified.
Repair Intake Form
All warranty repairs begin with Tacoma's Best Piercing's official Repair Intake Form.
The form helps us:
- Verify your purchase.
- Document the condition of the jewelry.
- Record the reported issue.
- Reduce administrative errors.
- Ensure accurate communication between you, the studio, and the manufacturer.
Please complete the Repair Intake Form before bringing or shipping your jewelry to the studio.
Complete the Repair Intake FormStarting a Repair
After submitting the Repair Intake Form, you may bring your jewelry to the studio or ship it to us using the instructions provided.
Repairs cannot begin until:
- The completed Repair Intake Form has been received.
- Tacoma's Best Piercing has physically received your jewelry.
If you need help locating your purchase information before submitting the form, please contact the studio.
Depending on the age of the purchase, locating your invoice may require our team to search multiple record systems and verify information across several databases. Because this research takes time, invoice lookup is not an immediate service. We appreciate your patience while our team reviews your records.
Communication During the Repair Process
All repair communication is handled by email only.
Using email allows Tacoma's Best Piercing, the customer, and the manufacturer to maintain accurate written documentation throughout the repair process and helps ensure that important information is not lost or misunderstood.
Repair communication may include:
- Warranty eligibility.
- Manufacturer responses.
- Repair approvals.
- Requests for additional information.
- Additional repair charges.
- Repair completion.
- Pickup or shipping notifications.
Because many updates require communication with the manufacturer, responses are not immediate. We must often wait for the manufacturer's review before we can provide additional information or status updates.
We appreciate your patience throughout the repair process.
Shipping Your Jewelry
Once you have submitted the Repair Intake Form, you may bring your jewelry to the studio in person or ship it to us.
If you choose to mail your jewelry:
- You are responsible for shipping costs to Tacoma's Best Piercing.
- Shipping insurance is recommended and is the sender's responsibility.
- Tacoma's Best Piercing is not responsible for jewelry that is lost, delayed, or damaged before it is received by the studio.
Once your repair has been accepted, shipping between Tacoma's Best Piercing and the manufacturer is handled as part of the manufacturer's warranty process.
Repair Process
Once your completed Repair Intake Form and jewelry have been received, Tacoma's Best Piercing will prepare your repair and submit it to the manufacturer.
All warranty repairs are performed by the original manufacturer.
Many of the jewelry pieces we carry are handcrafted by skilled artisans. Because of their small size, intricate construction, and precision craftsmanship, repairs require specialized techniques designed to preserve the original quality and appearance of the jewelry.
Repair Timeline
Repair timelines are determined entirely by the manufacturer.
The total repair time depends on factors such as:
- Manufacturer processing.
- Repair complexity.
- Parts availability.
- Shipping and transportation.
Because many repairs involve handcrafted jewelry, turnaround times may take several months.
Tacoma's Best Piercing cannot expedite repairs, prioritize repairs, or guarantee completion dates.
Temporary Replacement Jewelry
If you need jewelry to keep your piercing open while your original jewelry is being repaired, we are happy to help.
When temporary jewelry is installed solely because your original jewelry is being repaired:
- The jewelry change service is complimentary.
- Basic implant-grade titanium jewelry is available at 50% off.
The discount applies only to basic implant-grade titanium jewelry and does not include:
- Gold jewelry.
- Decorative jewelry.
- Branded jewelry.
- Custom jewelry.
- Specialty jewelry.
If your existing base piece, such as a flat-back post or barbell, can safely be reused, only the replacement titanium end or top will receive the discount.
Temporary replacement jewelry purchased under this policy is not eligible for additional promotions or discounts.
Additional Repair Charges
Most warranty repairs are covered by the manufacturer.
If the manufacturer determines that additional charges apply, Tacoma's Best Piercing will contact you by email with the manufacturer's findings before any work proceeds.
No additional charges will be authorized without your approval.
Identical Replacement Exception
In rare situations, the manufacturer or Tacoma's Best Piercing may determine that replacing the jewelry is more appropriate than repairing it.
Requests for identical replacement jewelry are reviewed individually and approved only in exceptional circumstances.
Replacement is not automatic and should never be assumed before written confirmation is provided.
Warranty Limitations
The manufacturer's warranty does not apply if jewelry has been:
- Lost.
- Modified.
- Repaired by anyone other than the original manufacturer.
- Altered by anyone other than the original manufacturer.
